Mine sounds great and after a spinclean there's hardly any surface noise.

The Kid A disc has so much loud surface noise and the high notes in How To Disappear completely are distorted. Very dissapointing release sadly. I might have to get a different copy some time

On my copy, Disc 1 is off-centre and a wee bit noisy. Disc 2 is not. I don't think I've listened to Disc 3 all the way through...

Knowing little about Radiohead I asked in a local indie store in the UK what the difference was between Kid A and Kid Amnesiac. I was given an explanation and was then told "they released a gate fold of these on Red vinyl, I think we have one" he rooted around in large collection of records in a gated off corner of the shop and produced this red vinyl set complete with a sticker which said "Do not sell". Obviously I asked for a price and bought it. So this sunday afternoon having happily played Kid A through 3 times , Amnesia once, and working on Amnesiac for the first time, I read these Discog reviews. I can honestly say that my copy bears no resemblance to others experiences. My disks are flat, well labelled, clean - I did not even carbon brush them let alone clean them, just took off the shrink wrap and played them Disks are utterly silent no pops, clicks or whooshing, with fabulous dynamics. I guess I got a good set. For reference deck is a Project with AT-540ml micro line.

Hype stickers were bottom centre on both sides orientated with the lp sleeve.

              Silents Synced!
              Radiohead vs. Nosferatu (1922)
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB25X2qLT5U

For the first part of a series of screenings combining silent films with rock music, the Radiohead albums “Kid A” and “Amnesiac” are combined with the 1922 classic “Nosferatu”.

A new category of event cinema experience. A cinematic happening designed to bring new audiences to Independent cinemas all with the blessing of the Bands whose music is synced up to re-imagined re-mixes of classic silent film.

one of the worst sounding record that i have. A lot surface noise+couple skips+clicks.

Honestly, as someone who really hates surface noise, this record isn't too bad in surface noise than others say it is. This record has lots of loud songs to overshadow the noise. Only problem is the whoosing noises on HTDC. However, if you're someone who wants completely clear audio, get the original.

What a mess. Not sure why these reviews of multiple disparate versions are merged here, but my copy of the reissue red was a nightmare. Grove lock to open side A of Kid A was just the beginning. Skips, pops; warped; dirty. Cleaning yielded little result. Returned to local record store and hopefully the 2023 Amnesiac pressing I bought with some of the refunded $$ will prove to be much better. Of the handful of bands that I am a completist including solo works, radiohead QC for vinyl is all over the map from glorious to like this one. Purchased sealed Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes repress at the same time as this one and that one is near perfect and sounds amazing. Zut alors!
