Got a copy of this in the fall of 2024 via Amazon Germany.
It's a nice release.
Misprints aside.. gatefold is alright, there's lined sleeves for the records, which are 170g and reasonably flat.
Sound / pressing quality is pretty good -
have to turn it up a bit (not just because the music rocks, but because it's a bit on the quiet side).
Hardly any pops and clicks, thought that the voice is probably a bit low on this, and highs in general a bit mushy maybe - but actually A/B'd with a high-res digital version, and it's like that there as well. The vinyl sounds a bit "fuller", as you'd expect. It's not one of the best sounding LP's I own, but it's definitely solid.
Generally the pressing is ok, but side A is off-center. Long notes at the very end of the side are totally ruined.
This edition has the missprint on the front and back cover too.
After five listening I think it became a great matured album with brilliant new songs. Next to the "usual" heavy Mastodon songs great that songs and feels reminiscent of the Cold Dark Place EP are also an integral part of the album.
Excellent producing and mixing, thanks to Mr. Bottrill, he did one of the best Mastodon sound that I ever heard. None of the Mastodon albums have sounded so well since The Hunter..
Vinyl mastering is great, has great dynamics, spacious enough, and has a lot of bass. Real heavy stuff, pleasure to listen. Pressing quality is also good, overall it sounds great. My copy comes with foil/paper innersleeves.
