- Found this CD in a box my great aunt gave. I honestly like it even though it sounds like a experimental album rather then a rock album. To me it's like they wanted to be somewhat like GG Allin. Great CD to own though even though it's not like rest of their work.
- This record is a real oddball. I think it deserves a listen, because it contains some great material, particularly the band's covers of "Sweet Dreams", "I Put a Spell on You", and "Rock n' Roll Nigger". I also love that Tony Wiggins "White Trash" cover, but other than all that, the album really falls flat. The remixes are mostly boring, ditto for the interludes.
- A great album by many standards and still holds its own strong today. Many people don't know that Manson use to live in New Orleans and hung in the Quarter often. I've seen him chillin' with gutter-punks in the square before he was known. Dude wore similar clothes and make-up and looked like a badass goth leader. A friend of mine knew one of the guys who use to hang with Trent Reznor during the recording of Smells Like Children. Lots of crazy shit went down...and human bones missing from cemeteries. I actually still listen to his music today. Missed the shows at the State Palace, but was outside hanging around when the scooby snacks were being sold. :) Too bad Manson tore the mutha down with his popularity...too many drug deals and od's. After that the crowd moved to Monkey Hill, till it was shut down by the po-po's. Nawlins was the shit in the '90s!
