One of the most influential Jazz albums in my life. I was completely unaware of Ahmad Jamal until I happened upon this release at a Library's book sale. It transformed my view on Jazz as performed and recorded live, gave me huge respect for audiences of the era and their respect for the music, and impressed me with the quality of the recording and mastering.

It's unfortunate that this album wasn't reissued digitally or on other media, but many of these same tracks do appear on other Ahmad Jamal releases including "Ahmad's Blues".

All of that being said, this is a wonderful performance and captures the essence of a live Ahmad Jamal performance. His vocal expressions, the beautiful and expert drumming, the vibrant bass. Having been blessed to see Ahmad with another trio in 2010, over 50 years after this experience, his energy was as electric now as it was then. Outstanding.
