Seeing all the reviews I should count myself lucky that my copy doesn't any surface noise, pops or clicks. Nonetheless I'm very happy that they released this compilation album, both Kid A and Amnesiac were already good albums on their own but it's great to have some extra tracks with it. Very much recommended to get this compilation album, just maybe get it where they have a good return policy in case of bad pressings.

I don't know whether to consider myself lucky or not, but regardless, I'm still pretty disappointed in this pressing. Aside from a large skip at the beginning of Everything In Its Right Place (edit: never mind, that went away with a quick clean), my copies are clean--no unusual pops or surface noise. But How to Disappear Completely, my favorite Radiohead track, is markedly distorted like everyone else's. I don't understand how the masterer could have let that happen.

Got a Variant 3 pressing off Amazon US in January 2022

GENERALLY: Each disc sounds good, at the very least. I'd say Amnesiac is the weakest of the three sound-wise but it's nothing horrible thankfully

KID A: Not too many issues here, A4 as stated in many reviews gets pretty bad with the distortion near the end but otherwise my copy sounds really good! Idioteque especially ouo (8/10 overall)

AMNESIAC: There's distortion in the right channel throughout both sides but it's only noticeable in the quieter parts. Slight noise at the beginning of D1 but nothing too horrible. Besides those, most of it sounds great, though both D5 and D6 sound like ass lol (6/10 overall)

KID AMNESIAE: Oddly enough this disc sounds the best of the three, with only slight instances of distortion in E1 and F6, and everything else sounding amazing (9/10 overall)

        TOTAL SCORE: ~8/10 (Great)

Seems I'm lucky with mine, not perfect, but only slight clicking on track A1. Love the tracks on 'Kid Amnesiae'

Not a review but can anyone confirm if current pressings of this vinyl LP still have surface noise? I'm just wondering in case I decide to order this vinyl in the future.

I was very worried after reading all of these reviews. Luckily, my versions all look/sound great. I ordered a new version (black) from Rough Trade a week ago. Received it yesterday & all is well. Sorry to the people who have had bad luck.

Weird, my version sounds amazing lol, but I always clean mine pretty thoroughly (liquid cleaning then vinyl vac) prior to listening

I have gone through 2 different copies on red vinyl. Both absolutely horrible with distortion, pressing defects, noise, clicks, pops, etc. In my top 10 of worst pressings I own.

I haven't listened to the bonus songs yet but I don't understand why people are complaining about surface noise, I could count the number of clicks and static noises I heard with my fingers, and that was across both sides of Kid A and Amnesiac. My copy sounds nearly flawless and I don't regret buying this at all.
