Glad to see appreciation for this one. That Jack back's side two is awesome. The middle breakdown gets me the goosebumps.

This is a very interesting release : first, the A-side tracks are really representative of the European early house sound (also refered to as "Home House", the House produced in UK between 87 and 89).
But the main point here is the b-side : this really is the starting point of Uk bleep house, and one year before Unique 3's "The Theme", "Jack's back" offered all the elements of what was to become famous through Warp's Early releases : heavy bass, sharp house rhythms and bleepy synth lines.

In the same vein of commercial British house circa 1988/89, KRUSH used the cut & paste method of samples ('Bug on out' - Whistles 'Nothing Serious - Only Buggin'') not disimilar to early Bomb The Bass and S-Express tracks.
The track used a female vocal for chorus and for the bassline ? A MiniMoog synth.
Classic track...great production and a great representation of the first commercial explosion of acid house dance music.
