For me, coming from the idm 'ambient' acid techno side of things since 94', I look back at old school house and the like as a new genre for me to enjoy. This compilation is solid and quite progressive with extra effects, textured elements and attention to syncopation arrangement. Not quite a throwback but a nod of acknowledgement and running off with the baton type of trajectory.

On my copy A side is printed off center, creating a wobbling pitch effects, barely noticeable in A1, really heavy on A3, anybody else this problem? Bad copy?

Great compilation from a great label. Some corkers on here and overall the standard is very high. Big, dark, chunky, acidy numbers which sound good on their own but its also good as a Long Player. Recommended
