This release is actually a handicraft fake of The Alan Parsons Project's The Turn Of A Friendly Card album, it was forged in the USSR (most likely in St. Petersburg, then - Leningrad) by one of the black market figures, circa in the second half of the 80s - early 90s of 20th century.

Apparently, the original release (i. e. The Alan Parsons Project - The Turn Of A Friendly Card) suffered some serious damage, which made it impossible to sell. This is why the Soviet vinyl record was "redesigned" into a European one. This practice was common in the USSR, but not so much, because such a false representation required skill and some special equipment to craft.

The vinyl record itself is one of the press versions of С Новым Годом! release, while the labels were taken from the German original edition, most likely from The Turn Of A Friendly Card, and the sleeve from the Italian edition The Turn Of A Friendly Card.

For the A Side of the fake, the B Side of the original (i. e. С Новым Годом!) was used, therefore the first track is excellent Progressive Rock by Автограф, so at first listening to you might think that you are really dealing with The Alan Parsons Project.

The A Side label has subtle distortion, while the B Side label was glued more masterfully.

I only heard about this phenomenon in books and my dad's stories. Never thought I'd see the photos of such thing. This is simply amazing.

I was a little involved in the Soviet black market (of vinyl records) during its final stages, so I can understand the origin of such a strange artifact. I do not know who exactly made this fake, most likely, he has been gone for a long time.
