Reviews
- Nitzer Ebb never means to be beautiful, but I Am Undone is beyond beautiful. Even better when it's Alan Wilder remixing it.
- Edited 12 years agoIn response to earlier reviews, this does not try to go back to the total age...open ears bleed a perfect blend of ALL of their old discography...but far more digital. The mastering is a bit poor as well. I quite enjoy it nonetheless, and anyone who enjoyed everything else through right through to Big Hit will enjoy it given a chance.
- I'm posting a review here mostly because liller_per's is the only one currently up and I feel it isn't fair to completely trash this release... just read reviews on Amazon or elsewhere and you'll see many fans are very pleased, if not at least satisfied with this release.
I'm not saying liller_per is completely wrong, especially to have such an opinion, but it is very common for bands that have been around over 20 years to fall back to their roots and revisit their original sound. Depeche Mode, The Human League, and Duran Duran have done it with success. Let the samples do the talking.
If you want a more CURRENT or fresh band with the same sound of early Nitzer Ebb then check out Autodafeh. - This album should't been made. They try to go back to the old style (that total age) but failes in a miserable we're-too-old-to-do-this-shit'ish. Offcourse it´s ok to party like the young boys they once were, but this is just silly and childish embarrasing. Just as shallow and stupid like an old hm-band like def leppard doing a new album.
