In the night of 28th/29th May, 1993, a right-wing extremist attack was committed in German city Solingen. They set a house ablaze, killing five innocent people of Turkish origin.
As a result, the Netherlands organised a postcard action named "Ik Ben Woedend!" (means: I am outrageous!)

Not sure if this was the inspiration, but soon after the postcards were making headlines, "De Woeste Man" (means: the outrageous man) came out...

In 1993 within certain parts of the UK you had pirate radio stations pumping out the latest underground sounds!
I was (still am) a lover of the darkside hardcore jungle techno! But also loved (and still do) this Dutch hardcore gabber sound!
So if ever I was listening to the pirates I would invariably turn the dial of my radio to either of the two forms of Hardcore!
Happy daze! ;)
Ps
I think that is why I love the sets by DJ Easygroove!
He mixes it up in any style and flavour when it comes to 'Hardcore' ;)
