Reviews
- Icy cold and black, "Black Noise" is appropriately titled. Sonically this record can't be beat. The lows are really low, pushing the limits of my sub loaded B&W 602 S3's. Some recordings with lots of sub bass tend to make the mids and highs sound mushy, but not this. Everything is nicely split and the overall sound is powerful and solid. If you're an Aphex Twin and/Orb fan this record is well worth picking up.
- Why is the hype sticker attached directly on the jacket? Has anyone successfully peeled this thing off?
- Superb LP in every way. From the amazing compositions, to the fantastic sleeve art, and a wonderfully mastered / presses vinyl, "Black Noise" is a must have album for fans of engaging electronic music.
A stand out aspect of this LP is the wonderfully indulgent use of "world instruments" spanning a wide range of cultures and sonic application.
