Companies, etc.

All songs on this album were created with analog source material (analog synths, AM/FM radio, microphone) then processed on a computer, then mixed and mastered to two-track analog tape.

The album cover and title are both a reference to Big Black's album Songs About Fucking, of which Steve Albini was lead singer and guitarist. Also, all of the track titles are anagrams of "Miguel De Pedro", Kid606's real name.

This album wins hands down for the Record Shop Let Down award - I was laughing my ass off at the cover & the concept - then i asked the shop owner if I could have a listen.... after a fair while of 'drone' I asked the guy if this whole album was gonna be this terrible drone shite, he claimed it wasn't. The bits I heard were, hence Record Shop Let Down award.

A shame because I'm sure I've heard some KID606 stuff that I like, and I'm sure it was nicely done kinda weird techno-something, definitely danceable. If anyone would care to post a reply recommending some kid606 that doesn't sound anything at all like this nonsense please do and I'll give it a listen - ta :)
