My copy is slightly warped and seems a little off-centre, but plays clean enough. Same as with other intentionally lo-fi, vinyl sample inspired records, as long as the drums are crisp it's hard to be too critical of the sound. It's immersive and that's all that really counts.

Why is it so hard to get a good album pressing from Tame Impala? I saw one in a local (Made in Poland sticker as the identifier) for around 30. Decided to take the risk and I'm moderately happy with the decision.

Pressing is flat, no warps. Tone arm walks ever so slightly through the playback so it's on par with every other album I have of theirs, and not near as bad as some. Sound is same as all the rest; consistent and a bit dull in my opinion, but mastering is mastering. Some scratches from the plant but that's neither here nor there, it didn't affect playback.

If you don't wanna spend the money on the box set and can't find (or afford) the 45 cut, overall, I'd feel safer taking a chance on this repress above all the others.
