Thought to be one of the first'rave' tunes of the late eighties, 'Airport 89' was produced by Wood Allen, which was in fact just another alias for the highly productive and prolific Davoli, Limoni and Simplici... better known as Black Box, Starlight, The Mixmaster, Groove Groove Melody etc.etc.!

The synth riff was one of the most instantly recognisable of the late eighties, and coupled with the clever and highly effective aeroplane bassline, hence the 'Airport', the single enjoyed phenonemal success on the better dancefloors around Europe.

Interesting piece of acid house, with a great use of a plane as an instrument. Nice work on the beats and the stabs.
