Original pressing of this album :

Sleeve : Gatefold sleeve laminated outside and inside. "I.D.N. - Made in France" written on inside gatefold.
Disc labels : black and silver labels, with BIEM logo in a box
Above is the correct tracklist, as it is on the disc. But the tracklist is wrong in the inside liner notes for side A, it says :

3. Glad To Sad To Say (2.55
4. Rational Anthemn (4.10 [this is another title for 'Change The World']

Reviews
- You know.....once upon a time from a far off planet.....
It is often the case that a band's first album is considered their best. Sometimes, a band's creative energy is such that they can go on to create further albums of a similar or even better calibre than the first. Gong is one of these bands, though in this case their first album remains, in my opinion, their best. Not the most accomplished musically certainly. Not the most developed, in particular in terms of the pot head pixie universe. Not the best produced. Not the most critically acclaimed. Sure, AMG will tell you it's not the best place to start to explore the Gong universe. So why is it their best? As is often the case, their first album is more raw, more spontaneous, more revolutionary, more capturing of the zeitgeist of the moment (whatever that was - I am too young to have experienced it first-hand). It is also more varied, less serious, more magickal, more unique.
Perhaps the final track - Cos You Got Green Hair - is the most likely to split audiences. Emanating in a glow from a hazy reverberating space, floating above the ground on a haze of mystic ethereal incense, mantric drones interplay with ethereal flute and a languid laid back vocal, almost like another instrument, slides into our consciousness, emanating from the overall vibe, hitting the sweet spot of harmonies with the flues and drones, simple melodic steps though with an air of some particular significance, harmonies becoming almost celestial and representative of some higher cosmic musical rules which I am not familiar with but no doubt implying deep significance, taking the whole experience to an altogether sublime but deeply personal thought stream. Yes we are, we're gonna change the world...
