- Edited one year agoThe A-side isn't 10:20, it's 9:20 for those who care. These other comments are absolutely true -- back in 1992 this track would absolutely destroy dance floors. Pretty much the first five Murk records and the first two Miami Soul records would make people go crazy. They had that crossover appeal, too -- most techno DJs as well as house DJs would play these, and EVERYone would dance. These early Murk records did a really brilliant job in towing that line between house and techno. Murk quickly became kind of a cheesy house thing as the 90s wore on, but man, these early records were, and are, the real deal, and everyone agreed that they were hot as hell, no matter what type of dance music you were into. What I always appreciated about these Murk records is the dub they'd throw on the B-side. The A-sides would always be bombastic house anthems with soul-type vocals, but then you could flip it over and they'd have these intense dub versions that techno DJs could sink their teeth into. I highly recommend picking up "Bugged Out" if you're used to these white label Murk jams -- that single is a great example of how they could drop some insane techno/house hybrid jams.
My only complaint about the early Murk stuff would be the pressings -- they were notoriously cheap and crappy. If you ever see a Discogs seller listing their Murk record as NM-, you already know they're not grading it correctly.
- When this track was released, it immediately sold out and was one of the biggest funkiest house track filling every underground raves. Like others have mentioned, this track is still a classic and can still be played when mixed with modern dance track. The bassline is absolutely hypnotic, funky and groovy.

Fantastic vocal, stripped back beats, funky bass guitar sounding bass-line, topped of with the melodic rift that drops in and out after half way through the track. Totally awesome and pure class, one to be plaid loud !
- Edited 7 years agoAlways saw this as a brilliant nod to ESG- 'Moody', from the structure, drums & simple 2 bar bass- the similarities are pretty obvious even with the vocal style. The good news being that this is now perhaps an even better choice, due to being relatively forgotten of late & less of an overplayed cliche. With respect, I am not a die hard fan of all Murk's output, which often tended to favour slick big room club house, but this universal track hits the floor just right. Funk, percussion, soul, drums & bass- and is, suitably, moody- Yeah yeah...
- Easily in the top 20 greatest House tracks of all time. 21 years after it's release and you can still rock this track to this very DAY. It will bring the roof down. One of the few tracks to branch freely through all fan groups. Gay, Straight, Deep, Guidos, Black, White - EVERYBODY loves this song. Brilliant bassline and percussion that seem to almost revolve around each other - kudos to Oscar & Ralph - these early Murk tracks are untouchable, they were so advanced compared to what the other labels were releasing at the time.. Only a truly gifted vocalist like Solomon would have the insight to let the track itself be the star and as a result she is rewarded having delivered one of the all time greatest and memorable vocals of any dance record EVER. That's a bold statement. I'm talking all time greats. Records that shaped the genre. Tracks that made 40 others in your collection obsolete when you heard them lol. That's how great this track is.
- Edited 17 years agoA classic piece of house music and Murk's finest moment. This is deep, hypnotic, haunting house music of the very highest order. There is a fantastic baseline throughout that really lifts the record, with the lovely vocal slipping in and out.
