Edited one year agoHard to believe but this embarrassing cover is even uglier in the flesh than online. I won't buy it because I would have to look at this horrendous image of Bowie as child/simian every time I wanted to play it. Who was monkeying about? A profanation.- Non indispensabile. I'm sure it's a great record, but man, that cover artwork is horrendous. Hard to imagine somebody greenlit that ugly piece of shit but here we are.
The Plati mix (CD 1) has a 2001 feel, while the Visconti mix (CD 2) has more of a 60s vibe. With vastly different running orders and slightly different track selections, they provide two distinct ways of experiencing the album. The acoustic mix (CD 3) is just amazing. I thought making a boxset out of this was just a cash-grab, and it may indeed be so, but it has really been put together with a lot of taste.
In this box there are 3 CDs. The Toy album plus two CDs of extras and different versions. It would therefore be easier to announce "3cd" but the ayatollahs of Discogs prefer to write 1cd + 2cd. It's smarter when it's more complicated. And then it's an EU edition. It is indicated on the box "Made In Germany" but it does not matter, they indicate "Worldwide".
And when you correct, they go back behind you to put their bullshit back. That's all they have to do with their lives.
They left out 'Uncle Floyd'. That's some bullshit right there.
