This is the pinnacle of Basic Channel for me - you could double the track lengths and you would still want to stay hooked into those endless and open grooves. Inversion though wins it for me, utterly sublime piece of music

Inversion fascinated me when I first heard it; I didn't want to stop listening and couldn't get it out of my mind. When the time comes, I return to this music, which is a 17-minute journey for me. It helps in both good and difficult times. Whatever your situation, I feel this groove is healing. In my opinion, a low cut would make the hi-hats smoother and a better fit for this piece, but I respect the duo's decision and taste.

Am i the only one who thinks about oriental influences in those chords..?

Presence is experimental techno at it best and is also my personal favorite from the Basic Channel duo. Obviously it seems whatever they touched turned into gold but they certainly recorded a special moment & passage of music here.

sounds like it might have happened when they switched colours at the plant during manufacturing - I expect they pressed clear, then green then black. it's not unusual.

My copy also has green in the vinyl if held up to the light, intentional or manufacturing error?

My copy 100% genuine however is solid black but has a green tint to the vinyl?

The first track thing makes you fall into a crazy and relaxing parallel world, like some kind of calm and sweet dream. If you stop to listen to this thing, you can easily get trapped to nearly 20 minutes of pure dub and chord melody that cleans your mind out like few tracks i ever found in every genre of Electronic Music. The other side seems very darker compared to the other, its like spinning and waiting for more melody, than a deep and obscure share of dub pops out the speaker. It can be also tripping, but dont listen this close to any close minded parent or friend,if you dont want to be seem as a odd person. But the first side is for all audiences, especially good for Sex too!

Personally,i find this the best Basic Channel/Rhythm & Sound release.

It took me time to figure that B side is an inside out. I always thought this track doesn't go ahead, like it is locked!

Cyrus inversion, possibly the best piece of any music i own. This track is simple beautiful, it's like no other. It's long length keeps you tranced into another dimension and you most certainly get hypnotised by those DEEP DEEP chords, now... how the hell do they acheive that sound? basic channel, truly
