The only track I was really ever into on this LP is Skeezer. Not the lyrics in particular I must stress - although Shanté does deliver them in her own unique way. For me, it's all about the background samples with the reverse riffs and heavy delay effects. I think the dirty bass / guitar sound at least, and maybe even some of the drum break? Were sampled from Rufus Thomas - The Breakdown. It has a proper, low ball, stoned, trippy, sleazy vibe in any case together with all the other samples. Wish there was a dub or instrumental mix.
