Went through two copies . 1st copy , my tone arm looked like a roller coaster. 2nd copy better not terrific but I have to live with watching the tone arm slowly go up and down. Sound wise is great .

Received mine today with a small defect in the laminate material of the front cover and a slight warped record:(
Sounds pretty good tho

My copy has a persistent, end-to-end 60 Hz (?) hum, running completely through the pressing, including the lead-in, rills and runout.

Terrific stuff- flat, quiet, dynamic, no manufacturing defects. The packaging is top notch. Worth grabbing.

Perfectly flat and no issues with my copy! Sound quality is great, especially considering it is a live album. Definitely worth picking up! A tough album to find an original of, so this (somewhat) affordable analog reissue is the next best thing!

Just following on comments below, my copy is perfectly flat, and the jacket is pristine. Sound quality is excellent, but, of course, it’s a live recording so it’s not in the same category as some of the really amazing studio releases in the AS/Verve reissue series.

Also, I echo the request below for a complete Coltrane - Village Vanguard box.

No problems with my copy. Beautiful jacket and flat pressing

A fine reissue of a terrific album. It feels like a lost opportunity, nonetheless. Since the Complete Village Vanguard recordings were released in the late 1990s (presuming that the master tapes were not incinerated) - it is clear that there is a lot of terrific material from those sessions, particularly featuring Eric Dolphy (who plays on only one of these tracks). An audiophile vinyl box set would have been amazing.
