It's amazing. I'm a casual jazz fan who found this LP to be very authentic and raw. The first track was a little slow but after listening to it for the third time I like that piece too. I am lucky to have found it. This is the kind of thing that keeps me wanting to go out and find more music.

We are very lucky to have captured this stuff on record. This album is a phenomenon. The music it contains is ultimately liberated. It's freewheeling and ecstatic; careening towards oblivion at every turn. It's the type of phenomenon that rarely gets witnessed by more than a few people at a time; like a lightning strike or a lynx sighting. It's raw, unadulterated, and totally natural. Roiling with power, yet completely at peace with its environment. Rather than looking up at the cosmos and taking us to the intergalactic spaceways we've come to expect from Sun Ra's Arkestra, the players here were looking inward, and drawing inspiration through their roots. It's earth music. And that's all you need.
