Notes
Liner Notes:
"We wrote most of these tracks between late 2006 and early 2007, as part of our second album. Before we could finish the album however, we had moved away from each other, to different cities, in different countries. We wanted to keep writing together, but geography and work made it too hard.
Eventually the moment for further work on the album passed and we moved on to other projects, in music and elsewhere and left this album to sleep.
In the middle of 2009, the label contacted us to say that they wanted to release this music, unfinished or not. By this point so much had changed we could not go back to the space we were in when writing these tracks. So we didn't try, we let them be what they are. To change them would be to try to rewrite the moment we were in at that time.
A lot of people have asked where we went after the first album. Many of them hadn't heard our singles & remixes that followed it.
So this is for everyone who wanted to know."

- Edited 13 years agofor me as a more breakcore, idm, experimental related guy the best dubstep output I have heard yet!
This is definately something different than wobble Dub n' Bass I am used to, talking about "usual" Dubstep.
The compositions are combined perfectly!
While the debut work was fantastic as well, this is indeed no dance Album.
There are great chill hymns on this one!
And for those who don't buy mp3's/cd's yet:
welcome to the 2000s! Get yourself a numark cdx and finaly wakeup! - Edited 15 years agoFor my money the illest tracks are "Suite For Piano & Electronics" and "String Quartet No. 2". These two tracks, based on classical works, are Vex'd at their finest, beautiful and heavy. Both of the above mentioned tracks are unique and represent a fresh direction for dubstep (at least to my ears, another ogger kindly informed me that both the above mentioned tracks have been released on vinyl, I literally just purchased "String Quartet #2 off Discogs today). Vex'd could do an entire album of classical intrepretations, and it would be a revelation for many dubstep skeptics. Unfortunately both of these truly astonishing tracks are omitted from the Vinyl version of the album in favor of what I consider, several less adventurous tracks. I don't buy CD's and purchasing mp3's is out of the question. None the less the brilliance of Vex'd is on full display on the CD version of this release.
