Reviews
- this version sounds amazing, i think i got lock with my copy. no cracks, perfect mastering, clear, dynamic sound!
- Seems i had no luck with this pressing. Crispy crackling Surface Noise all ober. dynamics and sound stage could be much better and also missing some mids and overall clarity. To bad for a 25th aniversary edition. Sadly its my only copy of this masterpiece.
- Probably one of the better records I own, no pops, skips, or noises that shouldn’t be there. Extremely happy I own this
- Edited 5 months agoSounds so, so, good. Fat, warm bass. Smooth crystalline highs. Clear, dynamic sound. Everything I want in a Jamiroquai record.
- I’ve wanted this for light years and finally I got this pressing. It’s a beauty and it sounds excellent. I think the new front of sleeve artwork is unnecessary as the original colours were better.
The yellow platters are super funky. The bonus tracks are here too. The Cosmic Girl DFP Remix is a bit unnecessary but I’m a big fan of him too!
Excellent item and well worth the price.
The music is more suited to vinyl to be honest. It’s a very warm 70s style of production, the sound Jamiroquai are famous for.
Some of the best songs are here by a long shot, it’s a sleeker more radio friendly sound than the previous two albums but Didgerama is a bit of filler and feels well out of place. It would have been a better bridge between songs. I feel the same about Digital Vibrations, meandering and aimless filler.
All in all it’s the bands high watermark and they never made albums as good as this again. They were good, but not this good. - Nice packaging and records are clean, unfortunately, I'd have to agree on some comments, too much bass overwhelms the rest of the spectrum, which ruins the experience a bit... It's not horrendous... but a shame still, it could've been so much better...
- First and foremost, I'm happy to have this record in my collection finally. Both discs are slightly dished. Audio-wise it sounds reasonably good.
- Agree with what most people say, solid pressing, quiet, good Bass, nice colour, lovely sleeves, very decent price for what you get.
- Mastering is solid to my ears on this pressing, but I would bet the earlier pressings had less compression and more air to them.
However, I can confirm the dimples on Side D on the last track, in addition to my copy (and likely other copies) being off center.
