Reviews
- Edited one year agoA spectacular, and highly underrated album. Artwork definitely washed-out, but the pressing / remastering and overall SQ are top-notch. Kevin Gray, as always, delivers the goods. Ultimately it’s about the music, but Sony are lazy a-holes, and Prince’s estate should have been all over this.
- Gruel is absolutely right on the quality of the cover. I compared my original copy - jeez is is terrible. Pressing wise the quality is outstanding. My copy has just about zero surface noise and the sound fills up the room very nicely. Not happy with the art work, but the sound is quality.
- Horrible artwork reproduction - everything is swathed under very visible offset printing texture - even the title "Prince" - not sharply defined, but as if reproduced from a low quality photo of an album copy. For the last run of Prince reprints by Warner, the original artwork files were clearly not available either, but Sony's handling is a travesty.
