It's not bad. I'm on the fence about the sound quality. My first impression was that it sounds a little compressed. At the same time, I'm not sure it sounds any less compressed than my early CD on the DGC label. It is certainly a clean, noise-free, flat pressing, with no aberrations like an off-center spindle hole or anything wrong with the vinyl. The packaging is superb, as far as I can tell--nothing looks like a poor scan, all images are rich and sharp. My only criticism of the packaging is that, like other reissues I've picked up recently, the inner sleeve is a little too tight--I'm not sure why this has become a thing with recent represses. That said, it's probably not going to satisfy the critical audiophile, but for the average fan of this album, this is an enjoyable--and affordable--repressing.

Just ordered a copy out of curiosity, since it's relatively inexpensive. All I have for comparison is a CD I purchased the week it first came out, but I'll do my best to review after I receive the new LP.

Sounds okay. Clean, quiet, flat pressing, but the music is definitely on the trebly side and the quieter songs sound a lot fuller and more dynamic than the rockers. Got my copy on a trade-in, so I’m sure I’d be more disappointed if I’d actually forked over $35 or more for this pressing.
