Finally picked up a copy of this and just wanted to add to the comments below. I'm not sure if I'd describe mastering as 'brickwalled' - the bigger issue here seems to be the source quality of the recordings themselves. On my copy, Aalto - Rush sounds horrible, with constant distortion and interference. I almost wondered if there was a pressing issue with my disc, but none of the other tracks have this issue. Additionally, Leama's Labyrinth is clearly a vinyl a rip. A good one, mind you, but you definitely hear some light surface noise, especially at the start of the track. I'm not aware of a clean, unedited digital recording of this remix existing anywhere else, which almost makes me wonder if the original masters were lost somewhere along the way.
Other tracks here fair much better in terms of quality, and while I haven't analyzed the files in detail, the dynamic range sounds decent enough to my ears. This is still a wonderful collection of some of Orkidea's best early works - just don't expect top notch master recordings across the board.
