Reviews
- Matrix's remix of 'timeframe' came with a surprise in as far as the beat patterns go, with the snare not where you'd traditionally find it but a little after that, as is common in reggae / dancehall tracks. The effect was to give this a stuttering effect, and the rest of the atmospheres, stabs and bass snakes around this pattern nicely. It is very definitely a remix ( as opposed to sometimes when that word is used when it's little more than a re - edit, same drum patterns and samples, same stabs and sounds ) and matrix deserves credit for doing the original track justice and putting a different slant on the proceedings. The flip side dom & roland production 'braincloud' is a worthy tune in it's own right with the more traditional two step beat sequence, and would have sounded right at home on the 'industry' album.
