JUST a clear-up for people inquiring about BEST RECORD represses. AVOID. They constantly get a naff, used, original pressing and de-click, de-noise and compress it to the point of no return and then REPRESS that audio onto vinyl. I've experienced several of their stuff and it's shocking that they are getting away with calling it remastered.
A personal favorite and one of the best Italo records I own... Jazz Funky Disco Instrumentation to the fullest. The mastering job on the record is perfect... synth vamps, piano chops, breaks buildups, percussion all come together perfectly... A “Go Too” record for inspiration in my personal & musical life. A Sonic Masterpiece for the dance floor!
I just bought a copy sealed from an online retailer. I head some differences with the one that's on youtube. On Don't stop some notes seems to be out of tune.
I am very pleased to know that my very first mixing was so appreciated in every part of the world. Even today, I do not realize how much this instrumental piece - composed entirely by Stefano Galante from Rome, today is Steve Galante with recording studio in Canada - has been of fundamental importance for the whole movement italo-disco of that period. I doubtful that there was a bootleg in 2010 as stated by the person who have exposed the re-issue. I'm absolutely desagree with him. For me - from the photographs - that is an original copy and not a bootleg. So, it should be cancelled. Please, leave a comment about this matter. Thanks in advance. Claudio Casalini
This is the pearl of the italo-boogie 80's scene !! I didn't know that this 12" has been bootlegged too. Sounds a bit curious cause I've never heard or seen of a bootleg for this record.
Excellent Italo-disco/boogie/jazz. Pure Balearic chillout disco with that bona fide italian piano sound. Reminiscent if Imagination except its instrumental. 4/5
This used to be one of my "secret weapons". I figured I'd look it up here...sure enough, the ITALO craze has caught up with this formerly obscure masterpiece. Forget the Steely Dan cover...the B-side is the shizzit: "Don't Stop". This is a laid back, coming-down-from-a-hallucinogen-fueled-party-at-The-Loft-or-The-Garage kind of track. The closest thing I can compare it to conceptually is Sun Palace's "Rude Movements", which was probably a key inspiration for the vibe and style of this jazzy, syncopated downtempo Italo instrumental/funk monsterpiece.
