Reviews
- 35 copies of extra S.O.A. green 7"s from box set sold today officially and were sold out in 15 minutes. So 7" reissue is eligble to database when submitted. Probably other extra 7"s expected to be sold soon by Dischord if they've splitted some box sets.
- hardcore/punk was never about making money, particularly not the dischord label and here are lots of greedy people who only bought this lovely box set to sell it for more than double the original price, thank you very much you...can't you make a lousy 100$ somewhere else????
- I emailed Dischord asking about a repress and instead they sold me a copy they still had in stock. Death to flippers, reach out to the label and see if they can still set you up.
- The sound sucks. It's compressed and less clear. The Minor Threat 12 inch of the first 2 eps, that I bought in 1986, sounds more alive and dynamic. I love Minor Threat and I love Dischord. The box looks great. But if you're buying this to hear the music, then you're better off looking elsewhere.
- no question, this is a very good, passionate and absolutely lovingly made box,
but many here overdo it extreme with the price - thats not DC-like!
but ok, nobody is obliged to pay that! - The most precious 7" records I own. This is an incredible box set that was given care and attention to detail. Worth every penny.
- A note to anyone buying sealed copies here.
My box from Dischord was missing one of the records! Thankfully I have it sorted but maybe you should check with the seller before buying. - Absolutely beautiful package down to every detail. A great collection and source of Dischord music, hopefully many can see.
