- I just had the occasion to compare this pressing with the Picc-a-dilly reissue. My copy of this LP has some minor surface noise, nothing obscene. But the Picc-a-dilly one sounds simply outstanding. Less static and livelier by contrast. I think I only paid $20 CAD for my copy of 'Tibet'. The cover art is garbage but the vinyl just soars.
- I love this album. Possibly my favorite of Cherry's spiritual albums. This or Brown Rice which I also ordered the new reissue of but hasn't arrived yet. Just got this reissue today. The light pink is cool with me since I have no other records this color. Sounds good, but quite a bit of surface noise on the A Side. Not any big pops or anything, but a bit of ticks throughout. Maybe cleaning will help? In any case it still sounds good and I'm happy to add it to my collection. I'm interested to hear if others have the same issue with surface noice.
