My copy is flat but has some distortion and pops on the first listen. Cleaned it and put it in an anti static sleeve. Second listen was clear and pleasurable to listen to. Too bad the full band couldn’t have recorded these songs at RCA Studio, but still a great release to have in your collection. Good Sunday morning coffee drinking album.- One of my favorite Jim James releases. A nice pressing with minimal noise. Slight warping but nothing to bad.
Edited one month agoOne listen in and was enjoyable. I did not clean it yet, and it did have some static and distortion that will hopefully come out with a wet clean. My side B was off center a bit, but it did not appear to impact the sound that much. Does come with a download code, which is cool. Nice release for RSD.- does anyone have this and confirm whether or not it comes with a download code?
Anyone else get a copy of this record that was incredibly warped and unplayable?
Album is okay. You can barely hear the guitar since Jim's voice is very upfront in the mix. I love Jim's voice so I'll get over that. My biggest gripe is this came in a paper sleeve so I think it added some static. Now I gotta clean a brand new record so they could save ,40 cents.
