Reviews
This is the only defocus album I still (fairly) regularly listen to. The artist has their own style but if I were to try to compare I'd say early-mid Autechre with the hip hop influences to the full. Nice ;)

one of the stand out IDM albums of the period..wonderful production and still hold up extremely well today.
esem's enveloped is constructed of dreamy, lush soundscapes of beautiful melodies and subtle, percolating rhythms. there's a warmth that emanates from this music as the melodies are soulful and relaxed and the beats, which are complex but minimal in their application, never overshadow or weigh them down. i consider this one of the real gems on the now sadly defunct defocus label.
