It used to seem that there was always one tune that defines the sound of summer in London. In 1988 It was this. It seemed like every single car/house party/youth club/carnival sound (I was too young for clubs) was rinsing this non stop.
A London classic that still sounds as fresh as it did then.

No comments!! Lol what can you say about this tune. I think because soul II soul was so popular, fair play gets forgotten. When I heard this I was 12 and I thought wow! I still think wow now, its a masterpiece. Whenever I am out if I hear it, I just have to dance to it. How can you not? It's such a funky piece of music and dropped at a time when you could say UK music was reinventing itself as was the country on many levels. A classic tune which to me meant the new, it had that new sound which was powerful and the overlaying vocals are sweet. A must have!
