Avarice – Listen To Me

A great vinyl, progressive house is usually not my cup of tea, never the less, this record hardly fails to make me feel disapproved.

This vinyl has a very mysterious feel to it, the strings and effects are very reminiscent to the mysterious sounds of Egypt, in particular, Cairo. There is also a very large tribal influence, which definetly gives it a very tribal house sort of esque. Both of the tracks progress unbelievable beutifully, the sound effects are very clear, and not over used, the really work well with the synths and drums.

The title track 'Listen to Me' starts of with tribal bongo's and tom's along with a 4/4 kick which symbolises progressive, and all house in general. Slowly it progresses into an epic masterpiece. Its very hard to describe the effects which make it very 'Egyptian Like', some will understand who have this record and i must say, this record is done very finely. We may all have different views, but my personal experience with the record, will send you on an epic journey through progressive house.
