- Everyone complaining about the price: A record is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it! You wonder why there's only two for sale and one of them nearly cracks 5 digits? No one wants to buy it except for that one sucker with 10 G's to blow on a record.
- Edited one month agoTechnically one could just cut the lacquer from CD. Controversial, it's a sensitive issue, I know, but 44.100 khz is way more than double of what a record in ideal circumstances could carry. I've got some tunes that appeared to be mastered from cd, and you'll be hard-pressed to find anything out of the ordinary with the sound. You don't notice when playing them side by side with vinyl that went through the regular process, tunes from corresponding eras.
I just found out about this record today, while my music covers an era that includes its original release, and respective come-back.
It could be nice to have it on vinyl.. One's willing to compromise as a consumer rf it is that scarce. Lets face it: just having one copy is nice, but what are you going do? Run them end to end, and flip it over halfway. We all know that the real magic with this starts when you've got two copies, Theoretically within reach. There's bounty to be found here, lads! ARrrrrr - It states (P) 1982 on the label but (C) and (P) 1983 on the sleeve. So what is truly the correct year of release?
- Edited one year agoSo how it looks this is the first Acid Album in the World. 5 Years before DJ Pierre!
- I bought a really nice copy last year for 3000 euros, for a very short time I thought I was clinically crazy, but then I realized that it was the absolute best day of my life.
- Of course this came out the year I was born, and I’m a huge Plastikman fan so it’s all making sense now.
- Edited 4 years agoThe price pf this record will buy you a TB303 & TR808 so you can make your own acid and still have change left.
Or buy Behringer RD8 and 303 and still have £2.5k in your bank - well... it's a pity that the tunes fade out soon after they really start going absolutely crazy - eight minutes each [@ least] would've been even more mind-blowin'!!
- sounds funny, no much variation between the tracks - every song with the same beat & bass line. maybe micro differences. anyway, I like it (but not sure if I really would like to pay more than 5 euros of it)
