Like others have mentioned, my discs have slight warp but doesn't affect playback for me. A stunning ambient album, one of my favourites of the genre, and the pressing sounds great!
lots of surface noise on my side A, especially in the left channel (???), probably the loudest i've ever heard in anything from my collection. theres even a weird cycling thump in the first track. .... might end up being distracting in the long run, since it has some quiet moments; otherwise acceptably quiet throughout, neither disc was warped which is a relief! a great record nonetheless <3 side D is a wonderful addition
Ordered mine from RedYeti records in the US. One of the discs is black… second is cloudy not clear. Sound isn’t the best either minor surface noises which just ruin the experience… will try and return this one. Only bad Hopkins release in my collection
Both of my disks are clear (well, cloudy, but look great for it). Slight warp on both but not enough to affect sound, which is excellent. Very quiet pressing, no pops, crackles or other distractions which is exactly what you need for an album like this.
Disc 1 is black, 2 is a very cloudy clear. Disc 1 sounds great but 2 has quite a bit of surface noise, very distracting. No warps but a little disappointed in sound quality
To echo what has already been said, I played the side C & D and they were not only warped with the needle skating quite wildly, but the needle noise got progressively worse as the record played to the point that it sounded like a gramophone copy towards the end of each side! I reached out to Domino and they were excellent and sent me a replacement within 24 hours.
