minority opinion: I love the tracks exclusive to the non-usa version. I love breakdown, medusa, their version of my generation, and fox on the run album is way better than single. Turn it down is my favorite ever song of theirs. Micks drum solo was classic. People were overly critical. This album was extremely well produced and the only album where Steve's great bass playing was actually in the mix to a good degree.

the best way to release this album would have been a double album.

    A1 Ballroom Blitz
    A2 Hellraiser
A3 Fox on the run (album)
    A4 burn on the flame
    A5 medusa
    A6 breakdown
    A7 lady starlight

    B1 turn it down
    b2 sixteens
    b3 solid gold brass
    b4 my generation
    b5 someone else will
    b6 i wanna be committed

    c1 miss demeanor
    c2 rebel rouser (steve version)
    c3 rock n roll disgrace
c4 need a lot of lovin
    c5teenage rampage
c6 own up take a look at yourself

    d1 done me wrong alright
d2 you're not wrong for lovin me (studio)
    d3 blockbuster
d4 I'm a boy (who cover, they would do this song live a lot in this period)
d5 man with the golden arm

and they shouldve issued sweet fanny adams in the usa too

this wouldve cemented them very well

I have stumbled across an SACD version of this one complete with a 5.1 mix that sounds very good indeed - if it is an upmix it is one of the best I have ever heard, and the source appears to be from tape as well given the utter lack of aggressive limiting - the levels are exactly what you would expect from tape.
Can anybody clarify this for me please, as I would love to know where it originated - plus if there are any more like it?
