Absolute reference quality sound here. As others have said, totally flat and as close to silent as vinyl can ever be. Mastering is banging.

The entire Side 2 of Record 1 is absolutely colossal.

This pressing sounds absolutely awesome! "It's in the air for you and me"

Sounds fantastic, no pops or crackles. Disks are perfectly flat

Despite being an incomplete compilation of remixes, the mixes contained within have never sounded better!

The records are pressed incredibly well, perfectly flat and zero surface noise of any kind. The mastering is also really excellent: clear highs and nice deep bass.

This is certainly demo material for your setup. Enjoy.

The only reason I bought this was for 'Non Stop'. The 12" mixes for the two Electric Cafe singles were infinitely better than the majority of the stuff on here, yet they ignore those mixes.

Prior to this release, the only inessential Kraftwerk long-play release was 3-D (Der Katalog). Now there are two. I bought all of these singles when they were first released, and most of the mixes weren't great at the time. Kraftwerk's best music still stands up decades after it was released; the remixes certainly don't. William Orbit's godawful wreck of 'Radioactivity' isn't the sound of tomorrow. It's the sound of William Orbit in 1990–91 – the same sound that he gave to remixes for The Cure and others during that period. Orbital's sensitive mix of 'Expo 2000' was and is worthwhile, as was the ambient '(Kling Klang Mix 2001)', but the mixes by Underground Resistance, DJ Rolando et al were appalling on release and are so much worse now. I've already reviewed the remixes of 'Aerodynamik' elsewhere. Hot Chip's version of 'La Forme' was great, but is ruined here by being chopped to nearly half of its original length.

Along with '3-D', this is a heartbreaking way for one of the greatest acts of all time to grind to a halt. It's also sad to find on the back cover, in place of the old 'Ralf Hütter · Florian Schneider' credit, Ralf's name alone.

Is this really a box set? It's three discs in a sleeve.
