B1 Bizarrely contains a sample from an old Tony Hancock radio show from the 1960s.

In the first track, the chop on the drums is so tight. A lovely 16th note hi-hat pattern too, Moodymann knows what drums need to sound and feel like. I reckon it takes a good Dj to make Moodymann tunes really come alive. Maybe in the same way that a good musician will make a technical but good piece of music come alive. Make no mistake, this is all soul music, he grew up in Detroit and can't stop himself from making excellent music!

Sorry to all you loyalists out there and i know your all gonna disagree with this before i've even finished the review but i do not rate this release at all, It's 2 late 4 u & me is basically a re-dub of long hot sexy nights which was a remix of his first vinyl release under his name, The only difference is a vocal makeover, I mean kdj is stuck in the 90s he needs to adapt his style instead of re-releasing old dubs, It's like he isn't trying no more and indiscretely taken the commercial path to cashing in, And if your a true moodymann lover or even deep house lover you should know this instead of lying to yourself that this release is credible. I have heard quite alot of moodymanns tracks and i really don't understand the hype and demand these days, If your going to be spending that amount of money you may aswell dig deep into the nineties on some of kdjs older releases and also look into the sounds of chez damier, Glenn underground, Harmonie park etc.
