I was so excited when I saw Benny and Quince finally released their 7-up track almost 4 years after it made its first appearance on Josh Wink's Profound Sounds Vol. 3 mix. I remember periodically searching the discogs database hoping that the track would show up one day on wax. Not only is 7-up a wickedly minimal deep track full of throbbing bass, the track on the flip side, Sweet Potatoes ended up outshining the track that I originally bought the vinyl for. Sweet Potatoes is a deep techno journey with slick percussions, subtle melodies, acid stabs, and a partially broken beat that would be great for early or after hours journeys. Sweet Potatoes is absolutely timeless and screams "class". I highly recommend this release to fans of true techno. You're bound to love at least one of the songs if not both.
