Edited one year agoidk if it's just me but all of the tyler albums i own on vinyl are just so lacklustre. this record has no tracklist and is plagued by the all so common paper inner sleeves. it would be awesome if his pressings had an ounce of care or thought put into them, instead of being pumped out in terrible quality for a quick buck. the sound quality of this pressing is the only thing really saving it. if you don’t care about presentation as much as sound quality, then i’d recommend it.
This is one of the muddiest and worst sounding records I own - I thought it was just dirty but have cleaned in many times over several months and it's as unlistenable as ever, it just sounds compressed and grubby, as if it's covered in dust and grime. Great album to be clear, but I think some of this first run was pretty bad, so just save your receipt until you listen all the way through.

Edited one year agoI’m unsure which exact release I got, but I’m assuming it’s this one. Picked it up at Barnes & Nobles after returning the shoddy Gatefold repress of IGOR.
Opened and placed the first disc on my turntable, and there were zero, and I repeat, ZERO issues. Not a single crackle, no distortion, nothing. Didn’t even need to brush it off with my carbon fiber brush, sounded absolutely perfect on both sides.
Placed disc two on the player and same thing, except for some light crackles on WILSHIRE. Other than that, absolutely flawless pressing and release. Could not have asked for better.
EDIT: The reply below me is right, the crackling is just part of WILSHIRE, not the record itself.

I am very disappointed. Firstly, the double-sided sleev is very inconvenient. It is impossible to fully change an main cover to original one. The quality of the labels is also not the best. There are no problems with sound in principle, only the most bass tracks make a little noise (the very first one, for example). Good, but not perfect.
mine sounds pretty damn good, glad he used this alternate cover for the vinyl
