Reviews
- No skips, perfectly flat, and very good packaging. These songs are all so beautiful, what more could I ask for from one of my favorite artists?
- Orville Peck's "Bronco" is a sonic rodeo that effortlessly fuses classic country charm with modern magnetism. With a voice like a seasoned rancher and a masked allure reminiscent of a Western outlaw, Peck delivers an album that's as intoxicating as prairie whiskey. "Bronco" is a journey through heartache, resilience, and self-discovery, painting landscapes with each note and lyric.
This pressing of "Bronco" is as top-notch as a well-bred stallion. The analog warmth adds a tactile layer to Peck's sonic canvas, immersing listeners in the music's rich textures. In a genre where authenticity can be rarer than a desert oasis, "Bronco" is a refreshing oasis that quenches the thirst for genuine musical artistry. - After seeing pretty standard signed copies popping up on IG and breaking my neck trying to find the source online, the mystery was solved for me at his show in Wichita, KS. They had 100 signed copies available, which I'm assuming is standard per show, and priced the same as unsigned copies, at 30 bucks.
- Mine came super scratched up and with a very slight warping but surprisingly had no sound issues. Sounds incredible.
- My copy sounds incredible and was clean out of the paper sleeves, although I did switch them out for better ones immediately. No surface noise whatsoever.
- Edited 11 months agoI must have been unlucky in the copy I got. Both discs have scratches all over like someone dragged a staple across them, and there’s weird white smears all over the dead wax and onto the playing surface, like some kind of dried paste. Sounds absolutely horrible too because of all that. Gave it a wet cleaning and a vacuum to see if that might help a tad, but nothing. Hopefully I can get a replacement.
- U.S. copies (at least those at my local) do not have the Sony Music logo on the back, just Columbia. Possibly pressed at Memphis Record Pressing (based on the dead wax), and is a great pressing. Flat, centered and quiet, one or two light tics over 4 sides, about as good as you can expect a record to be. Mastering seem good, as well. Sounds great to these ears. Music surpasses expectations.
