- so this is the current go to stereo version??? Was interested in the so-called high quality recent Japanese pressing but apparently that's just from high res files, whereas this is done by RKS from the original (or closest generation to original)? I have a fancy wet vac record cleaner so having to give it a scrub is not that big a deal, and it's apparently a cheap date...my OG stereo is played to death so I'm looking for something new to spin...
- Great pressing! The record was a tad dusty upon opening but was easily fixed after a quick clean. The sound is nice with minimal surface noise. Overall, I recommend this pressing of this classic!
- It's a good sounding cut by Ryan Smith, though I can only echo the QC comments, as mine was also filthy. It ain't nothing special, but it's cheap and gets the job done.
- This pressing sounds fantastic, and I’ve had several copies throughout my life. Not sure of the source and the jacket could’ve been better but for $20, this is sonically an incredible copy.
- Edited one year agoIt's fine - just fine. Nothing special at all. It needed a generous boost from the bass knob on my powered speakers, which gave a bit more life to this pressing. The cheap paper sleeves had the disc quite dirty upon opening. Again, this pressing is nothing special but it's good enough for the price. No flaws.

Edifier R1700BT - Works as a replacement/upgrade for an OG us, sounds fine just not the best at all.
Sleeve material is very cheap, vinyl came really dirty and the picture is distorted a little unfortunately :(
Much better options out there but this is very affordable. - Bought this after forgetting I had a 1970s Columbia red-label in my collection. Did a sound comparison. Main takeaway: This is a good pressing if you want a clean copy. The higher-mid range is clearer on this version. The 1970s version sounds a little fuller but you don't get as many details as on this pressing.
To echo earlier comments, though, man was this record dirty when I pulled it out of the sleeve. No warp, no scratches, definitely needed a cleaning. - Thanks for sharing feedback concerning your dirty records. Very helpful. Can you guys share more about how many marks were on the lp? We need to know exact numbers.
Oh, and maybe if you get a chance you can actually DESCRIBE THE SOUND COMPARER TO OTHER VERSIONS. - Like another reviewer, found the record filthy and full of marks and bumps.
If you’re easily triggered by disturbing presentation caused by cheap paper sleeves, you have been warned. Music sounded surprisingly good though after cleaning thoroughly, lots of noise in between tracks but clean and rich once the songs start.
I did return and got correct labels (first copy had the Side 2 on both sides) but actually did not improve visually or sonically other than the labels.
