Tool (2) – Fear Inoculum

Mastering is at least one level up from the digital version, which was already good.

The worst tool album of all time. Repetitive and extremely boring. I mean, where's the feel of the pot, sober, Vicarious, schism, stinkfist, sex prison?

Bought this for $245 AUD in April of 2022. Amazing packaging and solid sounding vinyl. Really quality pressing. Only using one side of each LP and etching the other side is a great artistic touch and novel idea although you do have to change out the LP’s more frequently. But seriously, who cares. I love this album and the mix here is u real. Loud and clear with crunching guitar and punchy bass. Classic Tool and worth the expense for an awesome quality set. The box and booklet style record sleeve is beautiful quality. Stoked with my purchase and the many hours of listening pleasure this will bring.

A perfect album! Awesome musicianship, songs and production. One of the greatest releases of all time.

Simply amazing. That's all I'm going to say.

When they say "limited release", what are the official numbers?

I have to leave my comment here. Again. There have been two releases for this boxset EU and US. Then they have been merged (dunno why). Now again listed as EU and US. Mine version is EU.

Where to start? Packaging is top notch, high quality paper, print, polylined innersleeves. Box from heavy cardboard with nice almost metallic like print. Sound. Totally different story when compared to hi-res release or stream. Digital versions sound is flat. Just boring when compared to vinyl. Vinyl sound has big punch. Its just incredible when Maynard start sings or just talk, you have feeling he is with you in your room. Drums has weight, can clearly hear the response of drum membrane during each hit. Bass guitar and guitar have just incredible spark. This is awesome mix and its properly mastered. Energy which is coming out from your speakers during spinning this vinyl is insane. Vinyl itself was in my case pristine, all 5 discs came totally flat, clean. If I forget those few tiny pops, its perfect sounding record. Groove noise is very quiet. Almost inaudible during listening via speakers. Via headphones it can be heard clearly, but its quite standard. I think that this is definitive edition of the album. Maybe MoFi one-step vinyl and 45 rpm could bring a bit more, but its only speculation. This is incredible release for which was worth the wait and I love it from its first spin. Cheers.

Well, what can I say!?! What a f*cking masterpiece this is!!! Ever since its release in 2019, I was praying for a vinyl reissue, I have been tempted several seeeeeveral times to buy a bootleg copy but I didn't, I was waiting for this one and maaaaan, it blew my mind! I can't believe the quality of this copies, no surface sound, the whole sound spectrum is unbeliavable!!! Bass, mids & highs are fantastic, you can almost savor them, touch them, feel them! The whole presentation is completely worthy, their artwork, the etchings, what a fantastic mindblowing collectable item!

Great album that sounds fantastic. It cost a lot of money, but for me was worth it indoubtley. One of my biggest gems on my collection.
