Cores – Millenium E.P.

Millennium contains a female spoken sample (from a computer game but not sure which) “The heads up display pointer will rotate when you approach a point in the river. Move the pointer left or right to set direction of travel. Head right at the first river fork to reach the riverbank where your guide will contact you”

"Millenium" is IMO, Cores's finest moment and the best track released on Noom. Sublime hard dark progressive Trance with that distinctive late 90's Trance arpeggio, though it doesn't sound cheesy in the slightest unlike many other tracks released at the time that use a similar sound. The two other tracks in this EP are not nearly as good compared to the title track. "Spacetrash" is the weakest track in this EP, just an average late 90's trance track completely and utterly outclassed by the title track. "Hypnotizing" is a good acid trance track worth listening to. It starts kicky with a hard bass drum and has some nice pads + good TB303 programming. Vocal sample is a bit meh though. It sounds distracting and doesn't add much to the track.
