What a rare treat to get a perfectly flat record.
Sound is as good as could be expected, not quite sonically the incredible experience that the original album/mix gave us. It's overall a bit thin and trebly. You'll need to adjust the EQ with this one.

The original photo used for the front of this sleeve had Brian holding a toy gun in his left hand that he is resting on his knee. This has been airbrushed out for the sleeve of this release. With plenty of colour on this picture used for the sleeve, I feel it did not need the adding of the 'Frankie Man' symbol in the centre. Who is the young boy in the picture? Is it the same young lad pictured with Paul on the picture Disc of Two Tribes from 1984? I do like the picture used but to me it's more of a Pleasuredome related picture than Relax or Two Tribes. UMC now own the back catalogue of Frankie so that is probably why there is no mention of ZTT on this release. Frankie Say.........Give us more reissues like this!
Fantastic pressing on super thick vinyl. Very little noise, pops or clicks using an SL1200 and an Ortofon cartridge. The sound quality is far superior to the original cassette releases. Great package overall and a must for any FGTH fan.

Need to release '' welcome to the hippodrome '' on vinyl, grand uncle remembers fondly seeing a magazine add in Canada,he believes it might possibly be a live album from England
Anybody else's copy full of scratches and pops? I can see little marks all over the first side like somebody used an etching tool in various places. No part of the audio escapes it. Side B seems to be fine. The whole LP was covered in vinyl dust, too, and required a good wet cleaning.

This is fun! Especially Side Two. The record sounds great, given that you clean it immediately after you pull it out from the paper sleeve before you play it.

Such a brilliant set of mixes, perfectly curated and beautifully packaged. A3 and B3 are phenomenal.

I'm kind of shocked that there's no mention of ZTT anywhere on this release. I wonder why.
Can't help feeling that they should have made this a 2 disc package with all the Pleasuredome cassette singles. That would have made more sense to me. Just these two seems rather arbitrary. Even better would have been another 4 disc package, like the ones ZTT / BMG did for RSD a few years ago, covering all the Frankie singles,
