Runout information is both stamped and etched.

In 1974, after producing two of Willie's iconic albums, "Shotgun Willie" and "Phases and Stages", Jerry Wexler realized the next step in capturing Willie's true essence as a great songwriter and performer was to get him doing what he does best. So, over two nights and four sets, Willie and Family were recorded in front of the best audiences to play off of, at "The Texas Opry House" in Willie's backyard, Austin, Texas.
I had only been playing in the band for a year, but we had done close to 300 shows honing the sound. The show is raw energy and spirit of a racehorse heading for the barn are captured here, giving birth to a movement and a moment in time that still smolders.
- Mickey Raphael, Nashville, TN, 2021

Really good. I just wonder why second guitarist, Jody Payne isn't credited? He's pictured on the back of the jacket, and if you watch videos from the show, he's clearly there...

Was he just simply overlooked, or is there a story somewhere?

This is really peak Willie. It sounds phenomenal! You can’t not enjoy this album. A+ job on this release.

This is a fantastic collection of Live Willie. My copy is dead quiet and perfect in every other way. Others mentioned pops/cracks on Side 4. Listening right now and haven’t encountered that problem. Mastering and production is top notch and this sounds great!

Willie plays like he is at home. Because he is at home.

Unlike his 1978 double live album (Willie And Family Live), where he just plows through material as quickly as possible, this 1974 set finds Willie and Family playing energetically, but certainly able to groove too. (That second version of "Bloody Mary Morning" is somethin' else!)

Probably one of the best live recordings in history! Sound is exquisite and solid to your ears. A must have for every Willie and live performance recording fan. Glad to add this to my collection.

Don't buy from these greedy assholes!

There is plenty of stock for this record worldwide, and lots of record stores who are selling this online for a reasonable price..

Sounded absolutely great up until side 4.

Horrible crackling throughout. Anyone else?

Sounds awesome! Huge soundstage that really fills the room with that live feeling. Vinyl is dead flat, silent, and poly-sleeved. Highly recommended!

Was excited to get this and it sounds decent but it’s so warped it is almost unplayable. Disappointing.
