Finally got a copy of this and wow! Insanely quiet vinyl even in headphones. The punch, dynamic range and clarity on this is absolutely unbelievable. I have most Daft Punk records on vinyl but this is extremely good. It's also mastered perfectly and you can absolutely crank it! Also those with skips, it's because you have a cheap turntable. This is designed to be played in clubs with big bass!
I have a very weird and probably the rarest copy of Homework ever- the B-Side ist pressed on both sides of the first record. The second record is normal.
This release is quite high quality overall, with the sound quality being stunning as with most other Daft Punk releases. I've noticed many noting that side B skips at 'Around the World', though I have had no issues with skipping. I would clean each record before playing, especially if its the first play.
My copy skips on side B, and most of the skips seem to be concentrated on "Around the World." If you are buying this pressing, keep the receipt and test side B immediately.
1200MK2/2MBronze/Parks Puffin phono/vintage denon amp/Elac DF62. Haven’t heard a better sounding record that wasn’t an “audiophile” release in a LONG time Fuckin BANGS. Hard. In comparison to the 1st pressing, not counting that my copy is worn from being played to death after all these years, this new press sounds better no comparison. Excellent release.
Edit: just noticed mine says made in Poland on the back of the jacket instead of France. Matrix etchings and everything match this release otherwise.
Played perfectly on my 1982 Akai AP-D210 with Ortofon OM-10. I only got this because so many people claim it to be nearly impossible to play this album without skipping.
