Show All 14 ReviewsSeeing here some negative comments about noise, a bit for all the vinyl pressings of this album, I got lucky with my white vinyl edition. Sounds good and virtually noiseless. I'm satisfied. 👍

I'm on my second replacement copy and I can confirm this pressing is plagued with issues. Both LPs had unmelted vinyl pellets visibly and physically protruding from the vinyl itself. Huge pops and clicks. Unlistenable on certain tracks. The scratches and fingerprints others have reported were present as well, though less concerning. Going to give the other pressings a try, staying away from the white from now on.
I can also confirm the bad quality of this press. First side, second track has a loud and noisy pop like a scratch. I returned the album and got my money back.
I have to echo the complaints about pops and ticks. This is a real distraction and disappointment for End of the Empire. Side two is much better as it's louder. Could someone let me know how to identify GZ pressings going forward? :/
Second copy of this pressing. First pressing had a really bad scratch on side one, song 2. Sent it back. Second pressing is noisy. Lots of pops and ticks. Generally it is a loud album. So, side 2 is acceptable. Side 1 one though has quieter passages so the pops are really a problem.. The first song has loads of pops and crackle. Second song the same. Third song also. I think I will send this copy back too. GZ media make bad pressings. I have only ever received bad quality or terrible pressing from this company. 33 euros. NOT WORTH IT !!! Packaging is nice though. Don´t forget NEW RECORDS SHOULD NOT CRACKLE !!!! Don´t accept poor vinyl quality just because the cover looks nice :)

The content is brilliant. I absolutely love this album. The pressing is utterly disappointing. GZ strikes again with another crackle-laden whoosh-fest. I’m on my second copy, and it’s just as bad. There may be some good copies out there, but as usual, it’s a GZ gamble.

Great quality record even though surface noise runs throughout the entire thing. My copy isn't the most silent one apparently but it's just glorious in terms of dynamics!

Sound on this is excellent. This is one of those great albums that get better, revealing more with each listen. My white copy has a bit of a warp, though. The only negative.

This is a gorgeous press and sounds great! With the exception of a couple ticks during the first song, it's a pretty quiet vinyl overall. The art and packaging is pretty much what you'd expect from Arcade Fire and a real treat for Arcade Fire fans and collectors alike! I did notice on my vinyl that the center hole is pretty small and can be difficult placing and removing my record off my spindle. Thankfully it's gotten loose after a few careful listens and the record label isn't damaged. This record was worth the wait. I recommend it to other Arcade Fire fans.

great pressing, vinyl is quiet, sound is wide and deep. packaging is beautiful (and justifies the $40CAD price) with nice add ons like a foil postcard, sticker, and large poster. my first copy was very warped so this is my second copy and i have no complaints.
as for the material; while they still have not reached the same heights as they did on funeral, neon bible, the suburbs, and reflektor, this is still a good album worth a few listens.
