My rating is solely referring to the sound quality of this masterpiece of an album. It's dismal. Lots of noise, uneven volume, easily the worst sounding LP in my collection.

Anyone know if the black vinyl is any better sounding than this one?

Glad to finally have this fantastic album on vinyl and I love the expanded booklet included, but my copy was also extremely noisy. A couple of thorough cleanings on my Okki Nokki One has helped, but the overall fidelity leaves something to be desired.

3 copies received. All three contain scratches on lp1. Master quality is a bit disappointing

Not the best pressing for sure, too much background noise on lower volume parts (although both vinyl has been cleaned with my Okki Nokki), the mixing is also terrible, the instruments are not properly set up and positioned in the stage, the guitar is often on back, drums are too much quiet, the volume's differences between tracks are evident and I have to admit that the CD repress of the year 2014 is far away better then my limited edition on blue vinyl... it's a pity because for the money I've spent I was expecting something better. The "Gutter Bullet" repress on silver vinyl is totally better than this one. The plus here are the booklet and the package... 5 stars to the music, 1 star to sound's quality.

I carefully listened to the reissues of Savatage - Streets (A Rock Opera) in 2022 and 2014. The volume level on the 2022 version is noticeably lower, and the sound itself has become too soft and unemotional due to the lack of mids. For this reason, Criss's guitar faded into the background. The noise level of the vinyl mass on beautiful new discs is uncomfortable, the "sand" clogs the quiet fragments of the compositions.
The mass on the records of the sample of 2014 is quieter, the volume level of the recording is high, and the sound palette is bright, harmonious. There's also a great bonus track here: an acoustic version of This Isn't What We Meant.
Having lost in sound, the Streets of 2022 bounced back as a print. Gatefold and 12-page booklet with rare photos of the band are great!

My album is great as well. No surface noise, and the sound quality is great.

My copy is very silent, no scratches or anything, but the sound is muffled. A masterpiece like this, recorded on double lp and sounds butchered like that?? Pity, because I've waited years to grab in on vinyl... Disappointing.

I have all the street lp pressings and this by far is the worst pressing l have ever come across! Previous releases have been great but there are more pops and clicks then l have ever come across on any vinyl. These Savatage releases are so expensive therefore very disappointed to recieve such a bad quality pressing. This is terrible.
Just picked up the black vinyl version. Plays perfect. Stay away from the blue vinyl.

My copy (fortunately) is perfect. Excellent silence and no background noise and in my opinion the sound is well balanced with good mixing. Happy to have it on vinyl complete with the two missing tracks in the original version (two LPs to contain everything that couldn't fit in one)
